个人发展历程
Gè rén fā zhǎn lì chéng
一个人要从非常迷茫到真正的活出自己,必须历经「个人发展」的四个阶段,分别是「自我探索」,「自我定位」,「自我发展」与「自我实现」。
Yī gè rén yào cóng fēi cháng mí máng dào zhēn zhèng de huó chū zì jǐ, bì xū lì jīng `gè rén fā zhǎn’ de sì gè jiē duàn, fēn bié shì `zì wǒ tàn suǒ’,`zì wǒ dìng wèi’,`zì wǒ fā zhǎn’ yǔ `zì wǒ shí xiàn’.
在「自我探索」阶段,这个人就要开始花时间,用心地去发掘自己的「使命」、「天赋」,「志业」,也就是要去厘清什么是我「擅长」的事、什么是我「喜爱」的事,与什么又是我「关心」的事。当这个人真正一一厘清了这三件事,才能进入到「自我定位」阶段。
Zài `zì wǒ tàn suǒ’ jiē duàn, zhè ge rén jiù yào kāi shǐ huā shí jiān, yòng xīn de qù fā jué zì jǐ de `shǐ mìng’,`tiān fù’,`zhì yè’, yě jiù shì yào qù lí qīng shén me shì wǒ `shàn cháng’ de shì, shén me shì wǒ `xǐ ài’ de shì, yǔ shén me yòu shì wǒ `guān xīn’ de shì. Dāng zhè ge rén zhēn zhèng yī yī lí qīng le zhè sān jiàn shì, cái néng jìn rù dào `zì wǒ dìng wèi’ jiē duàn.
在「自我定位」阶段,这个人就要开始花时间,用心地去找出自己的「使命」、「天赋」,「志业」三方的交集处,也就是要去找出一件可以同时运用自己「擅长」、「喜爱」,与「关心」的事。当这个人找出这三件事的结合之处,才真正完成了「自我定位」找到「真我」,可以开始迈向「自我发展」阶段。

在「自我发展」阶段,这个人就会开始花更多的时间去投入自己的「使命」、「天赋」,「志业」的三方交集处,也就是投入更多时间做自己「擅长」、 「喜爱」,与「关心」的事,让「真我」持续成长。此刻这个人将会获得满满的能量,因为他已找到天命,工作就会是深刻喜悦的来源,也是唯一愿意将生命投入的领域。

Cǐ kè zhè ge rén jiāng huì huò dé mǎn mǎn de néng liàng, yīn wèi tā yǐ zhǎo dào tiān mìng, gōng zuò jiù huì shì shēn kè xǐ yuè de lái yuán, yě shì wéi yī yuàn yì jiāng shēng mìng tóu rù de lǐng yù.
最后,当这个人每天所做所为都是他「擅长」及「喜爱」的事,并运用它帮助他所「关心」的人与事,他就达到「自我实现」的境界,完完全全活出自己想要的人生。
Zuì hòu, dāng zhè ge rén měi tiān suǒ zuò suǒ wéi dōu shì tā `shàn cháng’ jí `xǐ ài’ de shì, bìng yùn yòng tā bāng zhù tā suǒ `guān xīn’ de rén yǔ shì, tā jiù dá dào `zì wǒ shí xiàn’ de jìng jiè, wán wán quán quán huó chū zì jǐ xiǎng yào de rén shēng.

世明为国际教练联盟(ICF)认证专业教练,拥有美国旧金山州立大学(SFSU) MBA学位,同时也是杰作国际专业教练有限公司创办人,并义务担任为台湾而教(Teach for Taiwan)的教练。现居台北市与妻子美年育有一子一女,分别为高三与国三。
曾出版「丰悦企业教练锦囊-塑造独一无二的企业DNA」及译有「EQ Coaching for leaders领导力的突破:情绪智能教练」等书,并在经理人月刊、中国CCN教练社期刊等平台专栏发表个人发展相关文章,也在台北广播电台及华人心灵广播电台担任特别来宾。 2016年12月更受邀前往马来西亚国际教练年会发表自创之个人发展教练模式(Personal Development Coaching Model)。
近十年来,在国内外带领过多场跨年龄层的自我探索、定位工作坊,熟悉如何引导、提供支持的环境,协助人们找到方向。亦曾受邀至台北市国中家长会联合总会、各国中与国小家长会向家长们分享如何当孩子的生命教练,也曾多次在北市青少年发展处及国中小学生讲座中,引导青少年孩子认识自己,定位未来。

The Journey of Self-Development
There are four fundamental stages in personal development. To resolve our identity confusion and transform into the authentic self, we must go through the stages of self-exploration, self-identification, self-development and self-actualization.
In the stage of self-exploration, we must search for our passion, talents and devotion. In other words, we should ask ourselves, “What am I good at? What do I enjoy doing? What do I care about most?” Only when we are clear about the three facets can we enter the next phase, self-identification.
In the stage of self-identification, we need to dedicate ourselves into looking for the field where our passion, talents and devotion meet. That is, we should find a career where we can fulfill the three aspects at the same time. Once we find it, we will discover the real self, and then move on to the development stage.
In the development stage, we will put more effort into the career in which our passion, talents and devotion coincide. Namely, we spend more time doing the things we are good at, enjoy doing and care about in order to continue self-growth. At this stage, we will be highly motivated, since we have found our mission in life. Work will become the source of our deepest joy and the area where we would like to fully dedicate ourselves.
When we all apply ourselves to what we are good at and what we enjoy doing, and turn them into a way to help improve the aspects of society we care about, we then reach the point of self-actualization.
This is how we live life to the fullest.

Edward Chen
Edward is a certified professional coach from the International Coach Federation (ICF). He holds an MBA from San Francisco State University (SFSU), and is the founder of Masterpiece Coaching & Training Ltd. Co.. He is also a volunteer coach for Teach for Taiwan. He currently lives in Taipei City with his wife, son and daughter.
He has published ‘Fengyue Corporate Coaching Tips-Shaping a Unique Corporate DNA’ and translated ‘EQ Coaching for Leaders’ and other books. He has been featured in platform columns such as Managers Monthly and China CCN Coaching Magazine. He has published articles on personal development and has been a special guest at Taipei Radio and Chinese Mind Radio. In December 2016, he was invited to the Malaysia International Coaching Annual Conference to publish his own Personal Development Coaching Model.
In the past ten years, he has led many cross-age self-exploration workshops in Taiwan and abroad, specialised in providing guidance and a supportive environment to help people identify their life purpose. He has been invited to the Primary and Middle School Parents Associations across Taiwan to share with parents how to be their children’s life coaches. He has also delivered speeches at the Youth Development Office and helped numerous elementary and middle school students to find their purpose of life.
