If an organisation wants to cultivate talents with #intuitivejudgment, here are the key design principles:
1️⃣ Controlled Practice
– Provide sufficiently intensive, repeated practice.
Establish structured rehearsal mechanisms that combine repetition with fine-tuned parameter adjustments, such as simulated leadership communication, technical drills or system development projects, allowing talents to make a large number of decisions within a safe environment.
2️⃣ Reflection & Feedback
– Develop an internal calibration system.
After each round of practice, learners should review outcomes and reflect on ‘Why did I think this way this time?’
It’s the combination of quantitative practice and qualitative awareness that transforms experience into true #insight.
3️⃣ Urgency
– Create time pressure and intensity.
Adding urgency and a sense of speed prevents over-analysis, enhances realism and keeps training from becoming purely formalistic.
This helps transform analysis into integration, from conscious thoughts to subconscious gut feeling.
