What keeps me going?
The past few weeks have been intense but deeply fulfilling.
A significant part of my time has been dedicated to international university applications: interview preparation, application document coaching and intensive #IELTS preparation.
The students I work with come from remarkably diverse backgrounds: business, medicine, engineering, the arts etc…
For me, the real sense of achievement in #StudyAbroadApplications happens before the offer arrives.
During #InterviewCoaching and #ApplicationEditing, students are often guided (sometimes for the first time) to seriously reflect on questions like:
– What do I genuinely care about?
– Which experiences actually matter but I’ve never learned how to articulate?
– Beyond asking AI, how can I present myself with clarity and authenticity?
My role is to help students develop a structured understanding of themselves, reframing areas that may seem less competitive and enabling admissions teams to clearly see their potential, reflective capacity and unique points of view.
That process itself is a form of deep self-organisation.

Another major focus has been business and leadership #communication training.
Whether working with professionals from European or Asian backgrounds, in corporate groups or one-on-one sessions, senior leaders have been making a real effort to schedule classes before the holiday period.
I often hear comments like:
‘This is exactly the kind of news I need.’
‘I’ve honestly never thought about it this way before.’
Amy’s #businesscommunication courses are not just about language.
– At the entry level, we focus on the logic and cultural frameworks behind language.
– At the intermediate level, the emphasis shifts to perspectives, positioning and persuasion.
– At the advanced level, the goal is expression that feels so natural that it no longer sounds like a second language
For me, every session is a two-way learning experience.
My students’ expertise and perspectives continuously expand how I stay updated on the latest trends.

Finally, there is the work around learning facilitation and guidance.
This part of my work allows me to engage with both organisations and families,
discussing team growth and learning momentum with business leaders,
and exploring youths’ learning habits, focus and self-management with parents.
I’ve come to believe more strongly than ever:
If every child can find a way to learn independently that truly suits them,
if every team can maintain sustainable momentum for growth,
and if leaders and parents alike can master the skill of guidance,
then both organisations and families can continue to break through blind spots and grow.
These are the reasons I keep going.
Working in a field I truly care about, this kind of busy work is worth it.
